It is important to remember that this crib won't last as long as when your baby turns six months old. You will need to buy a bigger crib. Overall, Roanna thought that the Joie Roomie Glide crib was an excellent buy. She liked its sleek design.
John Lewis sells the Roomie Glide for PS160. Roanna thought this was a reasonable price for a cot. She also liked how it appeared in the bedroom and believed that its grey colour would suit most modern homes. However, she pointed out that it isn't a great idea to rock a young baby, as it can create a bad habit for later sleep patterns.
The Tutti Bambini CoZee
The Tutti Bambini CoZee is an award-winning crib for bed designed with a secure night's rest in mind. It features a drop side rail that is easily lowered to feed your baby at night without having to wake your child or get up - it's ideal for mothers who are breastfeeding! It's also light and easy to move around during nap time or for travel.
We love that it's constructed of soft fabrics with breathable mesh sides that promote airflow and comfort. It's available in charcoal and oak, with a range of melange fabric options that work well with a variety of decor styles. Anna found that it was sturdy and secure once attached to her bed. The legs slid into place and the zippers were secure for security. It took her around 10 minutes to assemble and didn't require tools, with clear instructions and a video as well as a customer support contact number should you encounter any issues.
As well as the usual features you'd expect from a crib that is bedside, like being able to connect to your bed using a stay-in-place connector system and six height levels, the CoZee has an additional incline option that can be used to alleviate reflux or congestion in infants. It's also machine washable, a necessity for all the dribbles, vomit and snot that come with having a newborn!
The CoZee is a great option for keeping your child in the first six months of learning to sleep independently. It can be used as a changing station, cot or toddler bed. It can also be transformed into a sofa bed by the addition of an extension pack. Although it can't magically bring your baby to sleep or feed them, it can rock them and send them off.
The Chicco Next2Me Magic
This is one of Chicco's more expensive models, but it has a wide array of features. It's designed to be used as an individual side sleeper or standalone crib, and is suitable from birth up to six months. It is easy to open and close the side panel using a new mechanism. It's also more adjustable than its predecessor, having 11 different height levels as well as retractable feet for a secure installation under any bed.
Our testers loved the easy access the side panel provides that can be moved up and down with just one push of one button. This was a huge benefit during feeding times at night as it meant that they could easily reach in and pick up their baby without disturbing them up.
The side panel can be lowered by itself, too however it isn't recommended since it increases the chance of your baby falling out of the cot. However, the patented safety locking mechanism ensures that it can only remain in place when it is attached to the bed of the parent correctly. This is a great feature to have in place for peace of mind, especially when you're breastfeeding and need frequent nighttime feedings.
Telescopic legs allow the Chicco Next2Me Magic to be used with any bed, such as divan bases or beds with drawers. It also comes with tilting functions to help babies who are refluxy and a rocking mode that can help them sleep after eating. It's also extremely spacious and has excellent ventilation due to its mesh sides.
The Next2Me Magic was easy to use and set up for our testers despite the lengthy instruction manual. It's heavier than some of the other side-sleepers, but it's fairly mobile and can be moved from room room with ease. It's small enough to fit into a travel bag when not in use which is an advantage if you need to transport it. The only thing our testers found is that the side panel did not stretch as much as other models. This caused it to be a bit more difficult to see your baby from your bed.
The Shnuggle Air
The Shnuggle Air bedside crib is a great option for an infant crib that will grow with your child. It's a sleeper crib that is securely attached to your bed and can be transformed into a chic cot when your baby is old enough. Perfect for nighttime feedings and enhancing your bond with your baby's new.
In contrast to other models of bedside crib, the Shnuggle Air is built with breathability in mind. The dual-view mesh side panels and hypoallergenic, breathable airflow mattress allow for maximum airflow, keeping your baby comfortable and cool. The gentle slope helps ease reflux and colic. The zip-down side allows you to feed your baby, or even comfort them during the night.
The cot conversion kit is also well-designed, with clear instructions. It includes everything you require. It took us about an hour to assemble, and was fairly simple to put together. The only downside to the instructions was that certain pictures did not have captions. This made it difficult to follow. Overall, the process was simple and the materials used were of high quality.
The Shnuggle Air is a great choice for mothers who are nursing or have had C-sections. It allows them to reach out and touch their baby to comfort them and feeding without having to leave their bed. It's a great option for parents who don't want to deal with the burden of putting their infant in a traditional cot, or getting out of it.
